  10. Description:
  11.     Nethack is a graphical, roguelike fantasy roleplaying game.
  12.     This is a new (currently unofficial) port, _not_ the bugfixed official
  13.     port. I hope to make this port an official one soon.
  14.  
  15.     Special features of this port include (note that this is list
  16.     is probably incomplete):
  17.      - recover utiliy integrated
  18.      - proportional fonts properly supported
  19.      - amiga-ized
  20.      - XPK support
  21.      - builtin notepads
  22.      - optionally sends AREXX messages to play background tunes via an
  23.        external module player (sample script for DeliTracker included).
  24.  
  25.     This is a beta version. There are a couple of things that I want
  26.     to do, but probably won't. Things that will be done soon are:
  27.      - fixing bugs of the port
  28.      - finishing AmigaOS 2.0 (V37) support
  29.     Things that I'm planning to do when I find some time:
  30.      - getting rid of MUI
  31.  
  32.     Note that nethack looks best on a gfx board. I don't know how much
  33.     RAM it needs --- the executable is 1.3M, so I suppose 4MB are not too
  34.     much. Also, a faster CPU is better than a slow CPU.

  36.     Note that the port _should_ work on V37 systems. However, writing
  37.     reliable V37 software is difficult if you don't have a working V37
  38.     system...

  40.     Sources are available on request --- I don't think uploading beta sources
  41.     is a good idea.
